Characteristics of PVC-UH Pipes

PVC-UH pipes are made of high molecular weight polyvinyl chloride material, which has high tensile strength and bending strength, and can withstand greater pressure and external loads, so they are suitable for various complex engineering environments.

PVC-UH has an extra “H” in its name compared to PVC-U, which means High performance. High performance is reflected in the following aspects

1. Stricter requirements are imposed on the grading and physical properties of mixed materials.
It is clearly stated that mixed materials must pass grading, that is, the MRS (minimum required strength) of the mixed materials should be ≥25.0MPa, and must comply with different performance tests such as impact strength and tensile tests. It is also clearly stated that lead salt stabilizers must not be added, eliminating adulteration and substandard products.
2.Increased diameter. The diameter of PVC-UH pipes has been expanded to 1.6 meters, while the diameter of PVC-U pipes is now 1 meter. The increase in diameter can meet the greater flow demand brought about by modern urban development.
3.The one-piece steel frame sealing ring socket structure connection is more stable.
4.Different from the post-installed rubber ring, the expansion of the PVC-UH pipe and the installation of the rubber ring are completed simultaneously, forming an integrated steel skeleton sealing ring socket structure, avoiding hidden dangers such as dislocation, deformation, and movement during the installation of the pipe.
5.Whole pipe water pressure performance test
Each pipe (including the socket) is subjected to a water pressure test of 2 times the nominal pressure. From random inspection to individual inspection, the factory quality of each pipe is guaranteed.
6.All plastic connector.
Solve the problem of all-plastic connection of large-diameter PVC pipes. Common types of pipe connections are elbows, tees, sleeves, etc. In the past, cast iron or steel pipe fittings were mostly used, which are prone to rust over time and then cause leakage hazards. The PVC-UH pipeline system introduces all-plastic connectors to achieve the same life of pipe fittings and pipes, truly replacing steel with plastic.
7.Added pipe flattening test
A new flattening test has been added to PVC-UH pipes, which compresses the pipes to 40% of their diameter. The pipes do not break and return to their original shape after the pressure is released.

Strong pressure bearing capacity. As a new type of innovative water supply pipe, PVC-UH pipe has the characteristics of high strength and high pressure bearing, good internal and external pressure, and can withstand high-intensity water flow impact.

Good toughness and strong tensile strength. PVC-UH pipes have more than 40% more ring flexibility than other material pipes, are more resistant to external impacts, are suitable for releasing material pressure caused by temperature changes in the pipe, and can adapt to water conservancy projects in different conditions and locations.

The connection method is simple and firm. PVC-UH high-performance polyvinyl chloride pipes have improved the mechanical properties of the product on the basis of traditional PVC-U pipes and PVC-M pipes, and improved the pipe connection method. They use adhesives for bonding and elastic sealing rings for connection. The installation is simple and firm, and the connection construction is fast.

Safe and hygienic. PVC-UH pipes are produced using a lead-free formula to ensure the safety of the transported water.

Low cost and high cost performance. The inner wall of PVC-UH pipe is smooth, and its roughness coefficient is only 0.009, which has small fluid resistance and reduces system operation costs. In addition, the pipeline system has a design life of 50 years and low maintenance costs.
